My bar charts always look ugly from the present on because the future dates are sliced through with lines to indicate they are future. I would rather the stripes were in the past, or optional. Same applies for dashed lines in line charts. A simple vertical line for the present would work fine and not make the charts ugly! Is there a way to fix this already?

Currently we can’t switch the stripes to the past or make them optional I’m afraid. If you want to remove them, you could disable lastactualdate from the model and then Causal will not make the distinction between past and future. You can also add a today line in the advanced section of Visual settings.
